the story of the fed ex box

last week was really a frustrating week for me coz my fed ex package was been delayed for almost a month… well the company informed us last week (Monday US time zone) that it will be here within 3-5 days so I waited and waited till the 5th day (Saturday here) but nobody came to give me a fed ex box… The whole day I was in a very BAD mood (go ask my friends)

Monday (January 25, two zero one zero; 10:00 AM)- While I fell asleep on the couch and my mom was working in front of the internet… Somebody knocked at the door and my mom woke me up saying its the Mr. Fed ex man. Due to my excitement, blood rushed to my head for real hahaha =)

So when I am at the gate to receive my package I was shocked with the amount I have to pay (1,600 pesos) “what? why?” (taxes of course) but come on! the amount we paid in Texas was $115 dollars already and another bill??? this is too much… but then thats how things run. I was just really surprised coz the last fed ex box I received never asked me to pay something…

Well anyway back to the scenario, I payed the tax blah blah blah and I took my box inside the house. I got a cutter and started opening my present =) weee Im excited.

Yay! Its opened! I saw three stuffs, two were wrapped and one was red bag. I gave my mom’s (1 wrapped gift down) and I placed the other wrapped gift at the side coz its my sister’s. Then of course the red bag was mine =) hahaha I opened it and I found 2 letters and 4 more wrapped gifts. So I took them out one by one and the first one I got was a heavy one so I opened it and I was SURPRISED!!!! it was a _________. OMG!!! I never thought I’ll get a gift like that. Then I opened the other gifts and they are real WOW!!! a new pair of ____________, a cute ________, and a very nice, black ____________.

After opening my gifts , I called my beloved and thanked him for all the very sweet stuffs he gave me and what SURPRISED me more is that the OMG gift was from his parents. It really melted my heart knowing that I am really a part of the family now. My family and his family, aw what more can I ask for? =)

Its not actually the material gifts that I was really happy when I got my package, its the feeling that the person I am going to spend the rest of my life with is always making me so special and that he is giving all his effort and making sacrifices just for me, for us. Another thing is that yes I am thankful with the material gifts but what I am more thankful of is the GIFT OF LOVE that he is always giving me =) Plus the fact that his parents accepts me and treats me as their own daughter =) I AM SOOOOO HAPPY!!!

As the day ends and I was on my own, another realization came into my mind, that in the 3 weeks of waiting and having a bad mood, I learned that everything is worth the wait, all I need to do is be patient and wait. =)
